This year we’ll have loads of soil to move, beds to build and plants to get in the ground, and we’d love your help! Following our big, opening work party June 1, we’ll be busy on our new site!

Here are some ways you can get involved:

Volunteer:
We will have regular, weekly volunteer shifts at BiHi park similar to our Farm Steward program at Bell & Robie. If you are interested in gardening, getting to know folks in the community and supporting group work parties please send an email to sburgess@mymetroworks.ca.

We will have our first volunteer info session on Thursday, May 23 from 6:00 – 7:00 at MetroWorks, 7071 Bayers Road.  Because we work with the public and diverse populations, participants are required to get a criminal and vulnerable sector check.

Group Visits:
We will host groups at Common Roots BiHi on Wednesday afternoons and Friday mornings. If you are interested in bringing an office group, community group, class or summer camp to work in community, in the garden, please contact sburgess@mymetroworks.ca

Drop in:
Anyone is welcome to drop-in during our designated drop-in times: Tuesday, 3-6pm; Wednesday 1-4pm or Friday 9:30-12:30pm

Plots:
Our plots are currently full. Please email crurbanfarm@gmail.com to be added to our wait list
